Paintings by theme

Since different approaches are chosen for different subjects, any 'theme' is only a loose definition.

painting

Outside

Work inspired by landscape and the beauty – or otherwise – to be found in the passing moment, from a simple horizon to a multi-layered landscape. Some works also reference what humans are doing to our landscape, and thereby to each other.

painting

Illustration

A selected variety of work with a direct, bold and more graphical approach, mostly lighter in subject matter – but not always.

painting

Figure

Portaits, usually vibrant and illustrative in nature.

painting

Confrontation

Richly textured surfaces, monolithic or slab-like, sometimes based on an entire planet. Occasionally these surfaces bear an inscription, cut directly into the thick paint, to challenge and confront.
